Picture yourself in a room full of people. You’re mingling and chatting while you snack on gourmet cheese and olive tapenade when “that” person walks us. You don’t need to ask who he is or what he does, because he’s already telling you. The details may be different, but the conversation sounds something like this:
Hi, I’m a leading innovator in my industry. I’ve published articles in six journals. I’m the most creative, best qualified person to help you. You should call me.
What’s wrong with this?
Don’t tell me you’re an innovator, show me. Let your work speak for itself.
That’s why content matters – you’re not just telling people what you do, it’s an opportunity to show the world that you really know what you’re talking about.
But don’t believe me. Check out Forbes’s “10 Reasons Why Content Matters” by AJ Agrawal.
