It doesn’t matter whether or not you consider yourself a leader – if you run your own business, you are a leader. You’re the one in charge, you’re the one others will come to when they have questions, need help, or want to complain (yes, you get to handle all of those too).
One thing I’ve learned is that leadership skills are taught. Yes, some of us have natural leadership tendencies, but even those natural inclinations need to be honed and polished. The best way to learn any skill is to find an expert to teach you.
